CDR Smith's professional experience as the Security Assessment Team Leader for Nuclear Power Plants, National Critical Infrastructure, National Strategic Seaports and DOD Contractor Facilities of Presidential Transport Development in 2003-2005 enables him to best identify terrorist threats and how the Mail Defender System should be implemented to mitigate bio-hazard threats. CDR Smith's military experience as an Antiterrorism Officer and the Director of Security for the Chief of Naval Operation's International Seapower Symposium Series has placed him in a position to work with State of the Art military electronic equipment to defend against terrorist threats. This extensive antiterrorism experience as well as interagency contacts throughout Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies will benefit Bio Defense in future advances.
