Bio Defense Corporation has recently completed its relocation of its company headquarters to Boston with the assistance of the Mayor’s Office of Homeland Security the Boston Redevelopment Authority along with Senator John Kerry.

Senator Kerry stated  with the company’s official opening : “BioDefense Corporation’s MailDefender system is the first of its kind protection against bioterror threats to our country’s mail system. In today’s world, bioterrorism threats are all too real, and BioDefense’s innovative solutions are substantial ways to keep us safe,” said Senator Kerry. “I am proud to have helped BioDefense establish its first manufacturing site in Massachusetts and bring new jobs to the city of Boston.”

Chairman Michael Lu commented “ With the invaluable assistance of the Mayor along with Senator Kerry along with their very diligent and hard working staff members, BioDefense is now poised to further its leadership role in Homeland Defense from its very visible and strategic location overlooking downtown Boston, Boston Harbor and Logan International Airport.

The Company’s facilities are located on the top floor of 12 Channel St. in the Marine Industrial Park. Approximately 35,000 square feet of space are leased for an initial ten year term with the option to extend for another 10 years. The space will house its new corporate headquarters and manufacturing space, with plans to build as many as one thousand Mail Defenders per month.
